Shannon Kammholz, MS, CCC-SLP

FOUNDER/OWNER; SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST; MYOFUNCTIONAL THERAPIST

As the founder of Santa Monica Speaks, Shannon brings over a decade of experience providing thoughtful, individualized speech therapy. She works closely with clients and their families across home, clinic, and school settings to support communication in a natural, functional way.

Shannon specializes in orofacial myology, receptive and expressive language disorders, articulation, apraxia of speech, fluency, and social communication. She is passionate about delivering evidence-based, personalized care that empowers each client to reach their full potential.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from the University of Colorado and her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of the Pacific.

Samantha Mevorach, MS, CCC-SLP

LEAD SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST; MYOFUNCTIONAL THERAPIST; CLINICAL MANAGER

Samantha is a relationship-driven speech-language pathologist who brings a warm, thoughtful approach to her work. She believes children make the most meaningful progress when they feel supported, understood, and free to be themselves.

She incorporates a whole-child approach to therapy, drawing on her background in sensory integration, play-based intervention, and myofunctional therapy. Samantha collaborates closely with families and other professionals to provide coordinated, individualized care that honors each child’s unique strengths.

She earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from SUNY Fredonia and is passionate about helping children build confidence and joy in their communication.


Lara Haine, MS, CCC-SLP

SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Lara is a licensed pediatric speech-language pathologist who brings a thoughtful, strengths-based approach to supporting children’s communication development. She is passionate about creating a supportive environment where children feel confident and empowered to grow.

She has experience across both education and healthcare settings and specializes in early language development, language delays, fluency, autism spectrum disorder, voice, and articulation/phonological disorders. Lara is committed to providing evidence-based, neurodiversity-affirming care while collaborating closely with families.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

Dana Lee, MS, CCC-SLP

SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Dana is a licensed speech-language pathologist who brings a collaborative, family-centered approach to her work. She is passionate about helping children build confidence through communication in a supportive and engaging environment.

She has experience across both school and private pediatric settings and works with a wide range of communication needs, including articulation and phonological disorders, autism spectrum disorder, AAC, fluency, social communication, and language disorders. Dana is committed to providing individualized, evidence-based care while partnering closely with families.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Georgia State University.

Mackenzie Hunt, BS, C-SLPA

LEAD SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY ASSISTANT

Mackenzie is a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant who brings an engaging, creative approach to her work with children. She is passionate about supporting communication development in a way that feels meaningful, motivating, and fun.

She works with pediatric clients across a variety of settings and has experience in gestalt language processing, pragmatics, articulation and phonology, autism spectrum disorder, and ADHD. With a background in behavior analysis, Mackenzie incorporates individualized, evidence-based strategies to support each child’s unique needs.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychological Behavioral Sciences and Communication Disorders and Sciences, as well as an Associate of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

Kelly Meza, SLPA

BILINGUAL SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY ASSISTANT

Kelly is a bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant who brings a warm, inclusive, and neurodiversity-affirming approach to her work. She is passionate about supporting children and families from diverse backgrounds and ensuring access to meaningful communication.

She has experience working across school, clinic, and rehabilitation settings with children of all ages. Kelly supports a range of communication needs including articulation, fluency, language disorders, social communication, and AAC. She also incorporates her knowledge of American Sign Language to support individuals who are Deaf or hard of hearing.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Communicative Disorders from California State University, Los Angeles, and her Associate degree in Child Development from Santa Monica College.

Emily Ann

SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY ASSISTANT

Emily is a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant who brings a thoughtful, supportive approach to helping children grow in their communication skills. She is passionate about providing individualized attention that allows each child to thrive.

She has experience working with a wide range of communication needs, including articulation and phonological disorders, developmental delay, autism spectrum disorder, gestalt language processing, fluency, AAC, apraxia of speech, and early literacy. Emily also supports outreach and community relations, reflecting her commitment to building strong, connected communities for families.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire.

Diana Garcia

BILINGUAL SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY ASSISTANT

Diana is a bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant who brings a warm, supportive approach to her work with children and families. She is passionate about creating an inclusive environment where children feel comfortable, confident, and able to thrive as their authentic selves.

She has experience supporting a range of communication needs, including early intervention, articulation, and language disorders. In addition to her clinical work, Diana supports the administrative operations at Santa Monica Speaks, helping ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for families.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from California State University, Long Beach and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree at California State University, Los Angeles.
