My daughter has been seeing Shannon for speech therapy for 1 1/2 years and has made incredible progress - she went from not even attempting sounds for now being a little chatterbox! She was always excited to go, and Shannon made sure to include her interests to motivate her.

One Million Stars for Shannon and Santa Monica Speaks! It's hard to believe it's only been 4-5 months that we've been meeting with Miss Shannon! My 2.5 year old's speech has improved so much during our time at SMSpeaks. Shannon has the most fun and welcoming personality that my kids have completely fallen in love with. In addition to giving our family helpful tools and insight into our little guys' speech delay, she's also included our older child in sessions as a fun and helpful addition. It's truly become the best part of their week. There is something really special about seeing other adults care for and love on your child in way that makes a lasting impression on them. We've certainly experienced that with Shannon and her team.

The office waiting room is well designed in a fun and visually interesting way that engages little ones upon arrival. There are also toys, books and puzzle to occupy kids or siblings while you wait.

I was initially hesitant to get my kid set up with speech therapy, I guess I didn't think it was necessary. I have to say though that I'm so so grateful for our time there. Not only has my child's speech massively improved but he's also more social and interactive with other kids at playgrounds. I like to think that maybe it helped empower him to be more confident!

Our daughter was diagnosed with a speech delay at 18 months. After 6 months elsewhere with little progress, our pediatrician referred us to Shannon at Santa Monica Speaks. As our daughter now turns 3 and is talking (clearly) nonstop, Shannon has declared her work done and even threw our daughter a mini graduation ceremony in the office--so cute! And also shows that Shannon is truly invested in the development and progress of the child and doesn't drag out services for the sake of her business. It has been a delight to work with Shannon as she is organized, communicative, passionate, kind, energetic, engaging and talented. Sessions were highly productive and my daughter always enjoyed them as though it were playtime with a friend. We will miss Shannon!

Over the course of 5-6 months, we worked with "Miss Shan" :) to help him build the basics of forming sounds and mouth control to building up to short sentences and caught up to his age expected speech levels. During pandemic times, we always felt comfortable in her office and she greeted us with warmth and kindness and never made the sessions feel like a chore.
